Six – Take a Sip (of Water) Every Time I Write ‘Creative’ in this Post

I used to feel as though everyone has a finite amount of creativity. like, we have limits to how creative we can make something that we’ve created. Now I think that creativity comes from inspiration in life or from pictures and people we see. Or sometimes I think it comes from the back edges of your imagination. Wherever it comes from, the way creative ideas are used and put into practice is the most important part.

The creative process is the way creativity is brought into use. More specifically, the way the idea is developed and elaborated by collaboration and/or by extending the idea to make it thorough and detailed. Creativity can be used mostly everywhere, it’s used in the design and engineering of the furniture we use. Creativity is used in art, obviously. Creativity is entertainment and knowledge, YouTube (TedEx, D.I.Y.s, Numberphile) videos and podcasts are an example of this.

I have some creative hobbies, like drawing, writing, painting, marker colouring etc., so since I wish to continue doing my hobbies, I think I’ll always need to be somewhat creative to create beautiful and intriguing things. Also in the career I hope to have, I will likely need to be very creative with the tools available to me and to find ways to solve complex moral problems.

All in all, creativity is very interesting because while it is very useful for solving problems uniquely, it can also create beautiful and fascinating pieces of art and materialized ideas. Or both.

Stay hydrated

Fantastic concept map, Mary! It has breadth (three main branches off the central concept and it has depth (multiple branches in multiple places). The map shows that you have thought about creativity and that you have a clear sense of the connections between different disciplines and/or perspectives. Well done!
